Welcome to diabuddies! My name is Rikke, and I am the founder of this page. I want to make this website a kind of forum/community/blog for diabetics and people whom loved ones has diabetes. I wish for you guys to be able to talk freely and to be open about your problems and successes.
You guys might want to know something about me. I am a Norwegian girl born in 1997. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in February 2012. It was a difficult time for me and my family, but we have finally come trough. At the moment my diabetes is in a bad period, but I am working getting my levels better.
That's acually another reason for why I want this to be a kind of open blog. I want for us to inspire each other to a healthier diabetes. If we are kind and loving on this page, we can actually help a lot of people! I don´t want us to judge people for having higher HBA1C-scores than ideal, or for eating candy (everyone deserves some candy from time to time). Instead I want us to help motivate each other, and to share both highs, lows and everything in-between.
With that I am going to say goodbye ;)
